We recommend storing unused bags in a cool, dry, and dark place to extend shelf life, and to use them within one year of purchase. It is advised to purchase only as many bags as can be used within 9 months, and to change the trash bags every two days for hygiene purposes.

Our compost bags are made from cornstarch and are plant-based. They meet ASTM D6400 specifications for compostable products and will convert to humus, CO2, and water in 180 days when placed in a standard compost pile.
